The results of the food security monitoring executed according to the technique, provisions, criteria and indicators of the Concept of National Food Security of the Republic of Belarus approved by the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of March 10, 2004 № 252 are presented in the work. The analysis of tendencies and prospects of supply and demand development in the world commodity markets, complex assessment of national food security including physical, economic availability of food, competitiveness of producers in domestic and foreign market taking into account comparative economic efficiency of production and sales of products are carried out.

The forecast of development balance of the main food markets till 2020 which provides in quality of target reference points optimum parameters of food security, expansion of capacity of the domestic consumer market and realization of the export potential of domestic Agroindustrial Complex is developed.
