Second Regional Forum on Rural Youth for Europe and Central Asia
 
		  The Second Regional Forum on Rural Youth for Europe and Central Asia was held in Budapest, Hungary, from June 11 to 13, 2025.
Participants of the forum included representatives of youth organizations, youth networks, and other civil society organizations, as well as representatives of governments, the scientific community, the private sector, and international organizations working with or representing the interests of rural youth from countries in Europe and Central Asia. Staff from FAO country offices in the region also took part.
Scientists from the Institute—O. A. Pashkevich, V. O. Lyovkina, and A. N. Sharenko—participated in the event both online and in person. A. N. Sharenko gave a presentation titled «Projects of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Cooperation for the Development of Youth Initiatives.» His report outlined the main areas of activity of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus, the council’s structure and opportunities for scientific work within the Department of Agrarian Sciences, key events involving youth, support measures for young people (students, undergraduates, graduate students, and young scientists), and collaboration with the real sector of the economy. He also presented possible technologies for cooperation with countries of Europe and Central Asia in the agricultural sector and discussed the creation of an international project acceleration center in the field of agri-food technologies aimed at producing high value-added products.
