Republican Seminar "Problems of Investments to Ensure Sustainable Innovative Development"

On November 28, 2024, on the basis of the Republican Scientific Unitary Enterprise “Institute of System Research in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”, the Republican Seminar “Issues of Investments to Ensure Sustainable Innovative Development” was held, which was attended by leaders and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, regional committees for agriculture and food, OJSC Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State food industry concern "Belgospischeprom", Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurship, OJSC "Promagroleasing", National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, State Scientific Institution "Research Economic Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus", enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy, educational institutions, other departments and organizations .

Deputy Director for Research at the Institute for System Research in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor S. A. Kondratenko addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech.

The Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Investments, Construction and Land Reclamation – Head of the Department of Investments and Land Reclamation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus I. A. Volosach gave a welcoming speech and a report on the topic “The Main Problems of Investment Activity in the AIC in Modern Conditions”.

The head of the Center for Investment and Innovation Policy of the Research Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor N. P. Dragun spoke about the state of the investment sphere and investment policy in the Republic of Belarus in the medium term.

Director of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurship, PhD in Economics P. B. Arushanyants presented information on the fund’s work on financial support for peasant farms.

A report on the topic of “Purchase of machinery and equipment for legal entities under the terms of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 02.04.2015 No. 146 “On financing the purchase of modern machinery and equipment”” was presented by Deputy Head of the Department for the Implementation of State Programs of OJSC Promagroleasing N. V. Filipenko.

Chief specialist of the department for work with legal entities of the commercial leasing department of OJSC Promagroleasing G. A. Kuntsevich spoke about commercial leasing instruments as a source of financing for innovative development of the agro-industrial complex.

The General Director of the Minsk Greenhouse and Hothouse Plant, Candidate of Economic Sciences S. I. Nekrashevich and the Chief Economist of the Zhlobinsky Meat-Processing Plant JSC N. N. Atrokhov focused on the main problems of investment activity in the agricultural business.

The report of the head of the department of social and humanitarian disciplines of Polesie State University, representative of Technopark Polesie LLC, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Yu. A. Rybalko was devoted to the features and problems of development of subjects of the innovative infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus.

The speeches given provoked a lively discussion, during which the main directions of investment and innovation activities in the agro-industrial complex, existing problems and possible ways to solve them were discussed.

The second part of the seminar featured the finalists of the competition held within its framework for the best business idea and social initiative for the agro-industrial complex and rural areas among students and pupils in three nominations. Based on the results of the authors' presentations of the projects and the expert assessment by the institute's scientists, the winners and prize-winners of the competition were determined:

among school and lyceum students - a project by students of the State Educational Institution "Center for Additional Education for Children and Youth of the City of Vysokoye" of the Kamenets District of the Brest Region, A. V. Eichhorst and N. A. Shafalovich "Business idea of ​​an ethnographic expedition "Summer with Tradition";

among students of secondary specialized educational institutions - a project by a student of the technological department of the Educational Institution "Pinsk State Agrarian Technological College" V. A. Korolkova "Introduction into production of new types of functional semi-finished products";

among students and postgraduates - a project by 4th-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Management of the Vitebsk State Technological University E. A. Zaitseva, E. V. Panchenko, A. S. Sinitsyna "Development of a marketplace for farm products".
