Scientific and practical seminar «Solving the problem of self-sufficiency in vegetable protein in the Republic of Belarus»

On November 29, 2023, in the city of Zhodino, on the basis of the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Arable Farming», a scientific and practical seminar «Solving the problem of self-sufficiency in vegetable protein in the Republic of Belarus» was held, in which employees of the institute took part in a video conference.

Gorbatovskiy A. V., PhD in Economics, Head of Sector of Economics of Agro-Industrial Branches, in his report «Economic aspects and solutions in the field of increasing the provision of livestock farming with their own plant protein» reflected modern trends in the procurement of fodder, their insufficient balance in protein, which hinders the rate of increase in animal productivity. In a separate block, he covered the economics of grain legume production, focusing on regional aspects of the placement and productivity of the crop, on scientific approaches to substantiating indicative parameters, the limits of resource involvement for the successful development of the industry.

Loban A. G., Master of Economics, researcher of Economics of Agro-Industrial Branches, presented a report on the topic «Increasing the efficiency of agricultural organizations through the formation of balanced protein diets,» in which he noted the degree of fodder availability in agricultural organizations, the efficiency of cultivating individual fodder crops, and also the importance of the protein component in the formation of balanced diets to improve the production and economic performance of business entities.
