Events of the II Congress of Scientific Councils of the International Association of Academies of Sciences

From June 3 to 6, 2025, scientists from the Institute of System Researches in Agro-Industrial Complex of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus participated in the events of the II Congress of Scientific Councils of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS), which took place in Jinan, China.

Currently, the IAAS unites scientific organizations from 27 countries, including Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Moldova, Vietnam, Mongolia, Montenegro, Georgia, and others.

The Congress was opened by speeches from the Vice Governor of Shandong Province Wang Guiyin, the Head of IAAS Academician V. G. Gusakov, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, and Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Academician S. M. Aldoshin.

At the plenary session—during which delegations from the national academies of sciences of Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, and other countries presented their research—the Director of the Institute, A. V. Pilipuk, gave a report titled «The Strategy of National Food Security of the Republic of Belarus: Achievements and New Challenges. »

During the Congress, sectional meetings were also held, where scientists from various countries discussed current trends in the development of modern science. A. N. Sharenko, Head of the Financial Sector and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Department of Agrarian Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, presented proposals on areas of cooperation between Belarus and China in the field of development and application of technologies for food production.
