The monograph, prepared by a team of authors, examines the current and future trends in the development of world agriculture and the formation of world markets for raw materials and food. The directions for creating and improving the functioning of domestic republican food markets for the most important types of agro-industrial products, their balance in terms of supply and demand, while achieving the optimal level of food supply for the republic through its own production, are substantiated. Measures of state regulation and support for the stable development of agro-industrial production and the sustainability of rural areas in the context of the most important provisions of the UNDP Human Development Concept (United Nations Development Program) and Agenda for the 21st century are considered.
