The book was prepared on the basis of the results of research carried out within the framework of the State Scientific and Technical Program «Agroindustrial complex – rural revival and development» for 2006–2010.

This paper substantiates the legal requirements of the WTO in the field of foreign trade in agricultural products, which have an impact on economic processes in the agricultural sector. Regularities in the development of Belarusian foreign trade in agricultural products and foodstuffs are revealed. Methodological approaches have been developed and an assessment of the economic consequences for the domestic agro-industrial complex in connection with joining the World Trade Organization, as well as proposals to minimize the negative impact of factors caused by the requirements of this international organization, has been given.

It is intended for researchers and teachers, employees of the governing bodies of agro-industrial complex, heads and specialists of agricultural organizations and other categories of agricultural workers interested in foreign trade issues.
