 The work outlines the essence and content of the mortgage (pledge) of real estate, including agricultural land, shows the place and role of mortgages in the development of agriculture. Taking into account domestic and foreign experience at the conceptual level, the main mechanisms that ensure the creation and effective functioning of land and mortgage lending are disclosed. At the same time, the main attention is paid to the economic mechanism and instruments of mortgage lending. Methodological approaches are proposed and the parameters of the cadastral valuation of all types of agricultural land are determined in relation to each of their cadastral points.

 Methodological recommendations are intended for heads and specialists of state and economic management bodies of agricultural and other organizations, students of the system of retraining and advanced training for heads and specialists of agro-industrial complex, teachers, post-graduate students and students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions.
