The scientific article gives the concept of “forecasting”, identifies tasks, principles, stages, forecasting methods in socio-economic systems, identifies problems and risks hindering the development of the agroindustrial complex of the Republic of Belarus, considers the system for developing the medium-term sustainable socio-economic development of the agroindustrial complex of the Republic of Belarus, and establishes target indicators of socio-economic development of agriculture, food and processing industries of the Republic of Belarus for the period up to 2025.

Improvement strategy and development prospects of the marketing system in the agricultural sector of Belarus. P. 20–27

The article substantiates the theoretical and applied problems of sales of agricultural products, as well as the development of marketing and logistics sales management systems in the agricultural sector. The current trends and shortcomings of the policy for promoting agricultural products of the Republic of Belarus to the domestic and foreign markets, including the Eurasian Economic Union and third countries, are identified. A strategy has been developed to improve the marketing system of agricultural products, providing the main directions for increasing sales efficiency, as well as a mechanism for its formation and functioning in the context of the development of international and regional trade and economic integration.

As a result of the studies, it was proposed to use a systematic approach when considering and characterizing the activity of cluster structures, in connection with which an appropriate definition was developed, the scientific novelty of which is reduced to the formation of highly valuable and competitive results, the formation of the necessary investment volumes and their distribution by priority, etc.

The "rule of ten K" was formulated. The novelty of the developed scheme lies in the fact that the features presented in it reveal the true essence of clustering and are peculiar functions of the effective organization and functioning of cluster associations.

On the issue of managing short-term assets and increasing the efficiency of their use in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Belarus. P. 34–43

The article reveals the essence of the concept of “short-term assets” and their structure. The main indicators of the availability of working capital and the efficiency of their use in agricultural organizations of the Republic of Belarus in general and in vegetable growing in particular are analyzed. The main stages of working capital management in the agricultural sector are presented. The dynamics of accounts payable of agricultural organizations in Belarus, including for electricity and natural gas, for 2014–2018 was studied. The proposals on the use of secondary energy resources for cooling greenhouse complexes (chilled process water of a cooling tower of an industrial enterprise) are substantiated, the use of which can help increase the efficiency of use of short-term assets.

The article presents the results of the analysis of the economic and energy efficiency of applying different norms of nitrogen fertilizer (100 kg a. s. /ha and 160 kg a. s./ha) when cultivating varieties and samples of spring soft wheat of the selection of RUE «Research and Practical Center of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus for Arable Farming». Varieties and samples are shown where the use of nitrogen fertilizer is economically and energetically more effective on crops.

The article reveals the essence of the efficiency of dairy cattle breeding, taking into account various criteria in relation to the natural and economic conditions of Gomel region. It shows the best practices in achieving high production and economic results at the agricultural communal unitary enterprise (CAUE) "Brilevo".

The structure of ration for dairy cows is presented.

Much attention is paid to the formation of a stable fodder base, the production of cheap and high-quality fodder (using the example of the CAUE "Uritskoye").
