Kachuro Ivan Mikhailovich
I. M. Kachuro was born on July 24, 1902 in the village of Turin, Igumensk district, Minsk province. Higher education. He graduated from the Belarusian Agricultural Academy in 1930 with a degree in economics. Candidate of Economic Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR (1950), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the BSSR (1959), Honored Scientist of the BSSR (1972)
Served in the Soviet Army from 1941 to 1947, political worker. After demobilization in 1947, he worked at the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR as director of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR, and from 1951 to 1956 – rector of the Grodno Agricultural Institute.
From 1956 to 1969 – Director of the Belarusian Research Institute of Economics and Organization of Agricultural Production. From 1969 to 1971 – head of the department, from 1971 to 1982 – senior researcher and consultant at the Belarusian Research Institute of Economics and Organization of Agriculture.
Participant of the Great Patriotic War. For services to the country, I. M. Kachuro was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor, and the medal For Labor Valor.
